Vermont has over 400 community gardens around the state.
Get Started
Why?
A great way to support the growing local food system in Vermont is to make sure we know where all the community gardens are, so that when people want to participate in a community gardening project, they're easy to find. The Vermont Community Garden Network has an interactive map showing where the gardens are, but we know there are more out there! Help us find them.
How?
Work with your team to share what you know about community gardens in your area.
Post on Front Porch Forum or write into your town paper to see if there are any local community gardens you don't know about.
Check the Vermont Community Garden Network's website (listed in Resources) to see if those gardens are listed on the website.
If you find any new gardens out there, submit a listing!
Tell us how it went!
Alternative
Got all the gardents covered?
Organize a volunteer day to help out at a local garden and get it ready for spring!
