For me it's really brains over braawn and I will admit, I am out of shape, and I should be more active than I really am right now. So I recently signed up for track and field and I want to see what I can do. I'm not going to be running straight off the bat for an event, mostly because of athsma, but I'll definately try some throwing events this season! I'm also hopefully going to be competing in a sailing tounament somewhere else in New England for my sailing camp this summer. Last fall I just got a taste of competitive sailing, and I love it, and I plan on getting my light wind certificate at the end of this summer and my keelboat certificate by next summer. But competitive Vermontivating could also count as a sport, right?
Above & Beyond Wildcard Challenge
Try one new physical activity this Vermontivate season!
This challenge was created by geonek from Albany Community School!
Because learning to do something new is fun and mixes up your choices for recreation and exercise!
- Try one new physical activity before Vermontivate! is over on May 2.
- It might be Geocaching, Disc golf, Drums alive, Nitro ball, letter boxing, climbing a fire tower after a hike up to the top of a mountain.
- Give it a try and let us know how it goes.
- By the way, don't just tell us what you'd like to do or what you're going to do. Do it, and then tell us about it!
