This is a little different than what is called for, but I think it falls into the Vermontacious spirit... so I will see if I get a pass on this! I made cookies and brought them to an energy event held at the library! The were simple, and healthy, and while I don't think the bananas were grown in the intervale, everything was bought at City Market, so I was supporting local food! People loved the cookies and asked for the recipe, so I think they were enjoyed... and I brought Vermont apple cider!! (I never remember to take photos!)
Food Challenge #6
Have a local meal with friends. Play by the rules!
“We must have a pie. Stress cannot exist in the presence of a pie.”
― David Mamet, Boston Marriage
"If you really want to make a friend, go to someone's house and eat with him... the people who give you their food give you their heart." - Cesar Chavez
- Call your friends, make a date, share the rules, fill your plate (but not too much).
- Tell us what happened. We definitely want pix!
Nobody nearby to eat with? Only have far-away friends? Then organize a remote meal with them. Skype in. Be creative. But make it happen!
