Meditate 5 minutes/day for 5 days.

I began this challenge on Monday and finished it on Friday.  It was surprisingly helpful to do this for only 5 minutes a day.  Between this and the 5 gratitudes a day practice,  it was a very profound experience.  I had never put this kind of pratice together with my work on climate change.  The connection I made is that meditation can help with the feelings of hopelessness and grief that can sometimes come from spending so much time thinking about the future of our planet.

I think my mood was lighter this week.  I also have read that meditation is good for a person's physical health.   I think that these short periods of daily meditation will be something I try to incorporate into my life and see whether it helps me to be calmer and more effective in my life and in my work.
