Challenge: 

Eat real food. Not too much. Mostly plants.

The biggest change we have made with our food is to get a CSA farm share from Pete's Greens.  For the past year we have picked up a large bag of lovely food at Petra Cliffs in Burlington.  At first it seems to be expensive because you pay for 3 or 4 months of vegetables up front, but it averages out to a reasonable dollar amount each week.

Since we have already paid for the food, and we have it in hand, we find we are eating so many more vegetables.  As frugal yankees we try to make sure it all gets eaten and nothing spoils.  One or two vegetable with every dinner.  The meat portion of our meals has been reduced so I think our overall quality of local food is greatly increased and the long distance, high production food has decreased.
