Laundry day - I decided to give my electric dryer a rest.  Instead I set up a wooden drying rack in front of my wood pellet stove.  It blows warm air right across all the clothes and dries them and also adds humidity to the air at the same time!  After the flannel shirts get hung on hangers and dry for a little while in front of the fire, thet then get hung on the shower rod in the bathroom.  The dry air in the house helps dry the clothes.  We are using energy already to heat the house, why not use it to dry the clothes too!  The only item I find that this does not work well on is towels.  They do not dry fast enough to smell fresh.

I can't wait for good outside drying weather so towels can go out in the fresh air and bright sunshine.
