Tell a story of one of your favorite Vermont local food experiences.

My son visited us not long after we moved to Calais. He is a gourmet cook and foodie extraordinaire. We wanted him to experience the best of locavore, so we took him to Waterbury to Hen of the Wood. He was skeptical that Vermont would satisfy his refined palatte with locally source food. Imagine his surprise when he consumed what he still contends was the best meal of his life! He is a convert and is now convinced that Vermont can exceed his foodie expectations.
