I'm going to start every Monday with organic oatmeal. Its so easy to make, utterly delicious when I add some nuts, raisins and some of the frozen wildberries I picked last fall. Its good for our bodies and inexpensive. I think this will be a great way to start each work week. I buy it in bulk at the CoOp and store most in giant tins and what I'll be using next in giant jars.
Food Challenge #4
When it comes down to Food, modify your Mondays!
It's been estimated that if Americans were to reduce our meat consumption by 20%, it would be the equivalent of all Americans switching from a standard sedan to a Prius.
When it comes to changing how you eat, a little creative tweaking can go a long way - and be easier to sustain than a complete dietary makeover. Lots of folks do Meatless Mondays or Vegan until 6pm or Desserts Only On Saturdays. Personally, as a goat, I don't eat tin cans right before bedtime. Nasty on the digestion!
- Based on what you learned in Challenge 3, what Monday Food Habit feels like it would be the most workable for you?
- What steps will you take to plan your Modified Monday and help make it a success?
- If you need some recipes, look to our Resources.
- Try it out, and tell us how it went. What did you do? Did you enjoy it? Are there ways you could make it easier/better/more fun?
Do it on Tuesday.
