No contest, in the winter months my heat bill is 3x-4x+ what my electricity bill is. I have gas heat.
I just moved into my house in November, and the heat bills ranged from $100-$180 to heat my 1600 squre foot house. I keep the heat at 58 when I'm sleeping/not home, and 68 when I'm home/cold! My electric bill is usually around $40 (this past month it was as low as $34!). Needless to say, I am looking forward to the end of the cold temps!
I happen to be working on the energy save-a-thon for one of the other challenges, and have some candles burning (using their light, instead of electrical lights!). I realized that the smallest and largest nearly perfectly represented the ration of electricity useage to heat usage at my house! The small candle is 4.5 oz and the large candle is 14.3. So the small candle is about 1/3 the size of the large candle, just as my electric bill is usually about 1/3 the size of my gas bill!
