Pardon me for being cliche, but my son gives me hope. He's only a year old but from the moment he could walk, he's wanted to be outside and running around; active and happy. I've seen already that the adult he will become will be dictated by the people around him and the values he is taught. Vermontivate gives me hope to. The more people that get involved, the more likely it is that these world changing ideas will be instilled in my son.
Warmup Challenge #2
Share something which gives you hope.
Hi there! I'm Young Stanley!
As the Baaahron of Engagement, my challenges are all about sharing your great work with your community! I also host the Calendar of Events. You can earn game points by attending listed events and letting us know how it went!
There are some big, scary things happening in the world. But, they're less frightening when you believe they can be overcome, and taking action is one of the quickest ways to start generating hope. Vermontivate's whole purpose is to inspire and promote positive solutions. By sharing stories, ideas, and tools that give each of us hope, we can make it easier to create a world we'd all like to live in.
- Spend a minute or two thinking about good in the world. (Need help? Check out the Resources)
- Share a photo, video, or story (yours or someone else's) which gives you hope.
Really don't think you can come up with something to share?
Don't despair! We know that it can be hard to be hopeful sometimes. Instead you could complete this Alternative by sharing a story that *would* give you hope. When you've submitted it, you'll be able to see the inspiring things that other players have shared.
Some "Good" things:
- Acts of kindness
- Stories of courage
- Pictures of hope
- A picture of strangers helping each other
- A song about working together
- The Ice Bucket Challenge
