Jasper and I went together to give my ACS students support as they spent the day playing chess. They were having a lot of fun and working hard. Every students told me that they had won a few rounds and lost a few and they all had a very positive attitude about it. In the end ACS took home a trophy for the number one middle school team in the state--for the second year in a row!
Such excellent work! We are super proud of our students and their efforts. Chess has helped them learn to focus better, be patient and look for possibilities---amazing and important life skills.
Our Principal, Todd Rivver has worked diligently with students throughout our entire school (yup, even Kindergarten) to help them become amazing chess players. We are super lucky, and very happy!
